Course, Curriculum Information / Advising Office
This Web site provides information on the telecommunications curriculum. All students must complete at least 30 credit hours in telecommunications plus ECON 002 or ECON 014. In addition, you must select at least one “W” course from the list of electives (COMM 283W or COMM 489W). ALL students must take the three required core courses: COMM 180, COMM 381, COMM 387).

Specific additional requirements depend on when you were admitted to the Telecommunications program. Students admitted to the major BEFORE Spring 2006 click here for degree requirements. Students entering the telecommunications major beginning Spring 2006 should click here.

The major is divided into “tracks” to assist you in choosing courses appropriate to your interests. You are allowed to take courses from multiple tracks, but the tracks offer a guideline in planning your courses. You are strongly encouraged to work with your faculty advisor to select the courses most appropriate to your goals.
