Bu Zhong

Bu Zhong has earned awards as a journalist and as a teacher during a career that has taken him around the world.

His professional experience includes work as a network editor for media operations at CNN, and he has worked in television as an assignment reporter/weekend producer for KOMU-TV (Channel 8) in Columbia, Mo. He also spent seven years, moving from an intern reporter position to chief copy editor of the front page for China Daily, China's exclusive national English-language newspaper

While completing his doctoral degree at Maryland, he served as a teaching assistant and instructor. He was faculty adviser for the student-produced news show "Maryland Newsline, College Park Edition," which earned a 2005 regional Emmy Award. He was also honored for excellent teaching by a graduate student in 2005.
