Bob Martin

Bob Martin joined the College of Communications in 1998 as an adjunct professor teaching the broadcast/cable sales course and broadcast management course. He joined the College full-time in November of 1999 as the first director of internships and career placement. He was promoted to assistant dean for the office of internships and career placement in 2006.

Bob is also a senior lecturer in the College and teaches the broadcast/cable sales course along with running the internship and career placement office. He is also the business adviser to ComRadio, the student-run Webcasting station in the College.

Before joining Penn State, he spent 12 years in radio broadcasting, nine of these years with three different parent companies that owned WRSC/WBLF, WQWK and WNCL radio in State College. Bob began his radio broadcasting career on-air and moved to the business side of radio in 1990.

He was promoted to local sales manager in 1992 and then in 1994 to the general sales manager position. In 1997, Bob was named general manager of all four radio stations and one cable graphics text channel in State College.
