Jeanne Hall

Jeanne Lynn Hall teaches courses in film history, theory and criticism.

For three years, she taught in the master of fine arts program at the Ohio University School of Film, where she also directed the annual Ohio University Film Conference and edited the quarterly film journal Wide Angle. She came to Penn State in 1992.

Professor Hall's research has been published in Cinema Journal, Film Criticism, Film Quarterly, Creative Screenwriting and the Journal of Communication Inquiry.

She is co-author, along with husband and colleague Ron Bettig, of Big Media, Big Money: Cultural Texts and Political Economics (Rowman & Littlefield, 2002).

Professor Hall is the recipient of a number of teaching honors, including the College of Communications Alumni Association's Excellence in Teaching Award.
