Kevin Hagopian

Kevin Hagopian's specialities include film history and theory, American film, African-American film and American studies. He received his doctorate in communications in 2006.

He previously served as a senior analyst for Kenny and Associates Inc., a national corporate communications consulting firm, and editor of the Film Literature Index for the State University of New York Research Foundation.

He taught for several years at the University of Memphis, where he won the first-ever Thomas W. Briggs Foundation Award for distinguished teaching.

His writing on film has appeared in academic journals and daily newspapers, and online. He teaches film history and theory, and recently has been quoted as an expert on the movie industry for publications such as the Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, the Christian Science Monitor, CNBC, the Washington Post and by the French television network Canal Plus.
