Lyn Elliot

Lyn Elliot is a filmmaker who works primarily in the short form.  She incorporates both narrative and experimental elements into her movies, creating films that bring to the surface the strange undercurrents of everyday life.

Her most recent short film is Fish, but No Cigar, an animated movie co-directed with Tara White and completed in 2007.  Fish, but No Cigar has screened at more than a dozen film festivals, including the 2007 Rhode Island International Film Festival, the 2008 South by Southwest Film Festival, and the 2008 Ann Arbor Film Festival.

Over the past 10 years, Lyn Elliot’s films have screened widely at national and international venues. Her work has been recognized with awards from the Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Humboldt International Film Festival, the Black Maria Film and Video Festival, the Magnolia Independent Film Festival, the James River Film Festival, the Trenton Film Festival, and the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival.  She is also the recipient of a 2007 Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. 

She teaches introductory film and video production and screenwriting.
