Barbara Bird

Barbara Bird is a documentary filmmaker concerned
with issues of social justice and political consciousness-raising.
Her work (Handmaidens, 1995, and Album, 2002) has been recognized
and juried in prominent festivals such as The Women in the Director's
Chair International Film Festival and The American Film Institute
National Video Festival in Los Angeles.
She teaches courses in beginning film/video making,
screenwriting, documentary production, and directs study abroad
programs for the College.
In 2007, she earned the Deans' Excellence Award
for Service.
