Colleen Connolly-Ahern joined the
Penn State faculty for the Fall 2004 semester. She brings a mix
of teaching, reseach and public service that match well with the
vision of the University.
Her classroom experience includes
teaching courses in advertising campaigns, advertising sales, international
advertising and public relations.
Her research has been honored twice
with the Top Paper Award from the Association for Education in Journalism
and Mass Communication and she has published her research in numerous
different journals--Journalism Studies, Journal of
Political Marketing and Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Overall, she has published six manuscripts and presented a dozen
papers at conferences in the past three years.
In addition, Connolly-Ahern served
on the research committee at the School of Journalism and Communications
at the University of Florida. Her professional background includes
experience as president of her own marketing communications firm,
promotion manager for USA Today and managing editor for
Marine Log Magazine. |
